William S. King
William S. King, 92, passed away April 11, 2010 from causes incident to his age. He was born on September 6, 1917 to Samuel J. King and Rhoda A. Conatser in Frederick, OK. Raised on a ranch in Kim, CO, along with his 3 sisters, he later served in North Africa and Europe during WW11. He married Barbara C. Dinkel on January 1, 1946. He retired from Western Electric in 1976 and moved to Ogden following the death of his wife in 2004. His parents, sisters and daughter, Valerie, also preceded him in death. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in North Ogden. He is survived by his children and their spouses Dennis and Paula King of Thornton, Colorado; Terri and Rick Stearman of Eden, Utah along with 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family thanks all who cared for Bill during the past few years at Emeritus Estates and Hospice of Utah especially Michael, Brett, Tammy and Lisa. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Society of Utah in his name. Cremation will be arranged by Leavitt’s Mortuary and Crematory and he will be interred in Brighton, CO next to his beloved wife.
