Judith "Ann" Jensen Wolford Roy - On a beautiful Spring day, May 5th, 2010, our loving mother, Judith Ann Jensen Wolford, age 71, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in June 21, 1938 in Lewiston, Utah to Oleen Jensen and Helen May Chism Wells.
She was raised in Ogden, Utah and attended Ogden City Schools. Due to family circumstances she was unable to graduate from high school, but returned to receive her diploma June 4, 1981.
Ann married Sidney C. Wolford on March 3, 1957 in Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death.
She graduated from Ogden Beauty School in 1956. She worked for L-3 Communications for 27 years, where she made many lasting friendships. She retired in 2000.
Mom loved to do crossword puzzles, read, crochet, sew, and work in her yard and flower gardens. She had a green thumb and took so much pride in all of her beautiful flowers. Mom enjoyed the performing arts and loved watching a good musical or any local plays or performances.
After retirement Mom was a volunteer at Ogden Regional Medical Center and spent most of her time traveling with family and friends. She loved a good adventure and loved the ocean. As a family, we enjoyed one last unforgettable trip to Cancun, Mexico in November 2009 where she swam with the Dolphins.
Mom was a strong woman who was always the head of our family. She worked very hard to keep everyone close together. She was happiest spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always willing to help out in any way she could. She taught us all the meaning of integrity, the value of hard work, to laugh at yourself, and to forgive and love each other no matter what.
Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Kevin Wolford, Cindy (Rick) Tucker, Kerry Wolford, Lindy Wolford, Sheri (Bill) Lloyd, and Jeff (Shannon) Wolford, 10 grandchildren, Tom and Nick Shafer, Landon and Carson Cosby, Courtney and Mason Wolford, Assia, Kylee, Bailey and JJ Wolford and two great-grandchildren, Kaelen and Kenzie Wolford. Ann was a very wonderful lady. I enjoyed her visits with Donna when I lived in Phoenix. We had great times together in Arizona, Oregon and Hawaii. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She had a real talent in making her home a special place. We are all better people because of knowing Ann. God bless all of you. Barbara
