
Lewis Ekins Amidan “Buster” August 17, 1931 – May 24, 2010
Born in Slaterville to George Albert Amidan and Edna Rebecca Ekins. Proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers: Walter and Don; two sisters: Edith Baugh and Pauline Clark, a step-daughter, Angie Nobel and one great grandson, Cameron Amidan.
Lewis led a full and varied life. He joined the Air Force at 17 and later worked at and retired from HAFB. He was always proud of his military experiences.
He enjoyed people and spent many hours helping, teaching and coaching others. Hunting, fishing, woodworking, bowling and square dancing were favorite pastimes through out his years. In his later life, family and friends were his passion. His second home was in The Colony, Texas, where his friendly smile, helpfulness and companionship will be sorrowfully missed.
Lewis is survived by his children: Mary Lou (Charles) Lea, The Colony, Texas, Pamela (Bret) Allen, Morgan, Vicky Lee (Peter) Rosenberger, Tremonton, Lewis Todd Amidan, Brigham City, Mark (Vicky) Amidan, Tremonton, and Phillip Noble, Riverdale. Also, 11 grandchidren, 20 great grandchildren, one brother Ray “Bud” (Marion) Amidan and two sisters, Helen Stewart and Charel Anderson. Lewis leaves behind two former wives, Mary Jane Holland Davis and Julie Noble.
Services for Lewis will be held Friday, May 28, 2010 at 2 pm at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th Street in Ogden. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.

I was sad to hear of Buster's passing. He was my wifes [ Sherrie] uncle. I really like Buster and will miss him.
