
Lorna Vause Lorna Vause passed away May 27, 2010. She was born in West Weber on February 16, 1922 to Horace W. Vause and Sarah Merle McFarland. She married Kenneth J. Pierson October 12, 1943 in Salt Lake City. They were later divorced.
Lorna retired from Hill Air Force Base and went to work at ZCMI. She enjoyed the good friends and customers she met there. She enjoyed golfing, crocheting, and was a member of the Federal Women’s Club. She was an avid Jazz fan.
Lorna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She received her endowments in the Ogden Temple.
She is survived by three daughters; Karla (Gerald) Gooch, Teri (Curt) Campbell, Cheri (Johnny) Bryan and a brother Howard (Karen) Vause. She has 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one grandchild.
Per her request graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah at 12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service.
Lorna’s daughters would like to thank Manor Care and Applegate Hospice for their loving care.

Mom and Aunts: I wish I could be there to comfort you at this time. i love thinking of the happy times with Grandma. I loved visiting with her in Vegas, she took me to see Circus Circus. I love the memory of her riding the motorcycle with Kit she sure did laugh. i loved when I got to visit her at ZCMI a shopper selling to shoppers it fit her well. love you and miss her>

I remember that Grandma was there for my Mom when Rhett passed away. She also sent me articles about the Reds when she lived in Ohio. I also remember that she couldn't back out of Don's driveway. Good memories.
