Robert “Wayne” Hart
Leaving a lasting legacy of love and integrity, our father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Robert Wayne Hart passed away on June 12, 2010. He was born in Ogden, UT. on January 7, 1926 to Charles Chauncey and Harriett Mabel Hart. He was a hard worker who enjoyed serving others. He willingly began working in his father’s grocery store at the age of nine. Through his teen years, he helped support his family delivering 250 papers each morning from Monroe to the railway station. Wayne joined the Navy when he was 16 years old and served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters honing his mechanical skills on the Floating dry dock. Upon his return, he graduated from Ogden High School. He recommended serving in the military as a way to learn that “you don’t serve yourself, you serve others.” He was fiercely patriotic and loved being an American. He married his sweetheart, Willa Jean Edwards on June 21, 1950 together they had two children. He started and maintained many successful businesses including Hart’s Market and Hart’s Cleaners. He was a businessman who was genuinely interested in his customers and their happiness. His honesty, generosity and sincerity were evident to all who knew him. He cared deeply for his friends and family giving whatever he could in service and love. He never forgot a birthday or holiday. He taught us the definition of integrity and orderliness by his example. Wayne is preceded in death by: his parents, brothers, and wife. He leaves behind his children Michael Hart (Patti Hall) of South Ogden and Lori Scoma (Dave Garcia) of Syracuse. He will be immensely missed by his 3 grandchildren, Nikki Lynn (Todd) Frost, Shad William (Natalie) Stromberg, and Jesika Elizabeth Scoma, his 6 great-grandchildren, and the many other relatives and dear friends who were privileged enough to know him. The family would like to express thanks to a very special friend, Marilee Clark. Friends and family may visit Leavitt's Mortuary Wednesday, June 16 from 6 to 8 pm and one hour before services on Thursday. Graveside services will be Thursday at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, June 17, 2010 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers

Our heartfelt condolences to you all. The loss of a parent is always hard, no matter how prepared we think we are for it. Your father’s spirit and memory lives on to bless the lives of many. I am so glad that we have had the opportunity to have our life paths cross and know that our father’s did as well… many years ago. There’s with motorbikes, ours with bikes that require a little more sweat to propel.
God bless you during this time of mourning and reflection. May the days ahead be bright with the knowledge that we will see them all again!
