Ogden-Alan Fairchild age 62, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 after a brief illness. Alan was born September 27, 1947 to James Jay Fairchild and Anita Fowler Fairchild. Alan married Lynda Larkin August 31, 1966 and had 4 beautiful children. He was a proud Marine and served in Vietnam 1966-1968. Alan worked at HAFB as an aircraft mechanic and retired in 2005 after 30 years.
Alan later married Phyllis Porter his high school sweetheart on September 25, 1988.
Alan is survived by his wife Phyllis and his children JaNae Stewart, Jerry (Carole) Fairchild, Jacci (Chad) Lane all of Ogden, and step daughter Audra Gordon, Logan, UT. and 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his mother Anita Fairchild and 2 sisters Sherry and Connie Fairchild, all of Colorado Springs, CO. Alan is preceded in death by son Bradley Jay Fairchild and father James Fairchild.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Hillary with Aspire Home Health & Hospice and Dr. Kathleen De Remer for their help and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Washington Height Baptist Church in Ogden where his love and passion for the Lord grew.
Services will be held at Washington Height Baptist Church, 1770 E. 6200 S. Ogden, UT on Thursday July 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a viewing one hour prior to services at the Church.
Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
