
Curtis Allen McWilliams, 52, passed away March 12, 2010 in Steamboat, Colorado while doing what he enjoyed, driving a truck. He was born February 28, 1958 in Dalhart, TX to Mac & Nelda McWilliams. He graduated in 1976 from Farmington High School and served in the US Marines from 1976-1996 receiving various medals such as his Marksman Badge, Combat Action Ribbon and Sharpshooter Pistol Badge. He was also awarded a letter of Commendation from the Secretary of Navy.
Curtis is survived by his father, Mac McWilliams, step-mother Dottie McWilliams, two sisters, Charlotte McWilliams, Denise Townsend and 3 Uncles. Also surviving are 3 step-brothers and 3 step-sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nelda and 1 sister Melody Murphy.
Loved by all, known for his kindness, generosity, wit & humor.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th St. in Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held at the Crystal Gardens Mausoleum located at Aultorest Memorial Park.
I only knew Curtis for a short time, but he was one of the most genuinely kind human beings that I have ever met. I will always remember him. My heart goes out to Mac and Dottie. You guys are incredible people.
