Geraldine Ann Pierson
Geraldine Ann (Jones) Pierson, 78, passed away Tuesday March 16, 2010 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to Willis and Marie C. Etherington Jones. On January 10, 1948 she married the love of her life Monte J. Pierson. They were together for 52 years until his death March 28, 2000. Gerry was best remembered for her independence and wonderful sense of humor. She was an active youth leader and camp counselor in her church for many years. She doted on her children and grand children and adored her many nieces and nephews. She was co-owner of Econo-Print with her husband Monte. For many years they ran their successful business together. Gerry loved animals and had a skill in training them. She is survived by her children Gayle (Don) DeCaria of Logandale, NV. and Tony (Susan) Pierson of Clinton, Utah , grandchildren Gina (Theodore Radai) DeCaria and Mark (Victoria) DeCaria, and Kayla, Josh, and Alyssa Fawcett, and brother Bob (Ora Mae) Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Jones, and her son Kelly. The family would like to thank Heritage Park of Roy and Ogden Regional Medical Center for their caring staff. We would also like to thank family, friends and neighbors for all their support. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2010 at 2:00pm at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th St. Ogden, UT. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
Gayle and Tony, I'me very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a trully great lady. She was always cheerful whenever I saw her and she was a joy to talk with. Monte will be happy to be with her again.
