Amanda Marie Barnes

January 25, 1987 - May 25, 2016

Our beautiful daughter, Amanda (Mandy) passed away too soon on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.  She was born in Ogden, Utah to Jeanne and Kenneth Barnes of Hooper, Utah.  She was raised in Roy and Hooper.  She graduated from Fremont High School and then went on to Tech school at Ogden ATC.

Amanda was employed at Birch Creek Mercantile in Ogden.  She loved her job and the people she worked with.

Amanda was a member of St. James the Just Catholic Church and also enjoyed visiting Summit Church.

Our beloved Daughter, mother and sister has two beautiful children, Isabella and Matthew.  They were her greatest joy.  She was the happiest when she was with them.  They spent many hours together.  They loved to listen to music, dance, sing and play with her dog Abbie.

Mandy was a great sister to her three brothers, Philip, Kenny and Jake. She also was a special aunt to her nieces, Emmy and Aleena.  She enjoyed visits with her Grandpa Ernest and missed her Grandma Mary who passed away just over a year ago.

Mandy was a shining light that shined bright on everyone she met.  She had a bubbly personality and a sense of humor.  She had a big heart and would do anything for anybody…..she judged no one.

Mandy was happy being with her family, they meant everything to her.  She was very close to her mom, they were like sisters.  She also enjoyed talking and laughing with her dad.

When people said their heart was broken,

The words would seem so sad.

Now I understand,

How hurt could be that bad.

When we look up at the sky,

We see a pair of wings go by.

It’s an angel we see.

My arms long to hold her next to me.

But this is a dream that can never be.

She waves and continues on her way,

So it is without her that I must face each day.

I can only remember her in my heart,

With the love and memories, were not apart.

Mandy we love and miss you so very much.

Words can’t even say.

You will be in our hearts and memories every day.

Rest in peace sweet daughter of mine.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Jeanne and Kenneth Barnes; children, Isabella Lucero and Matthew Barnes; brothers, Philip R. Barnes, Kenneth H.  (Megan)Barnes III, Jacob R. oh my precious daughter in law, i miss you so much! your smile, your laughter the overall joy you brought to each day. your memory lives on through the two precious gifts of your children that you brought into this world and into our lives. and we vow to you that we will keep your memory alive to them, that even though they cant physically touch you, they will know that you are with them through each step of this life. we will remind them of the beautiful times you spent together, how much joy you brought to each of our lives. you will never be forgotten my sweet sweet Amanda. and we are longing for the day we meet again in heaven. It will be just a blink of an eye in your mind. our hearts long to see you again and tell you of the joy you were to each of our lives. until then there will be an empty space nothing can fill. indeed you are missed, indeed you were loved. mom and dad lucero

Jeanne, I'm so sorry about the passing of Mandy. Despite her circumstances she always had a smile when I met with her and tried to have a positive attitude about things. She was always a pleasant person for me to be around.
