Mel and Cheryl: Neal and I wanted to send our love at this time. We have gone through this with our parents and we know how hard this can be and yet a blessing. We love you and appreciate you as our friends. I would have tried to make the viewing and funeral, but I have been under the weather with bronchitis. May you be comforted at this time. And may you feel the lord presents. Know that we will see them again. It will be a wonderful day. We have been promised that from our Savior and Heavenly Father. Take Care. Love, Neal and Le Anna Jackman

Grandma Bernie was a wonderfully sweet woman. I have very fond memories of her throughout my childhood. I loved playing in her toy room and back yard. My sister's and I used to love to play "telephone" through the vents of her bathrooms. Another fond memory I have is one where she was in our backyard during a family barbeque and she could not hear the sound of the wind chimes even when rung next to her ear, they must have been just the right frequency that she couldn't pick them up. I remember all of us laughing with her. She will be missed. I wish her peace and happiness since she is now reunited with Papa Walt.

I had the nicest experiences with both Walter and Bernice as I visited them often as their neighbor and home teacher. They had rich experiences they related to me, and I felt their warm friendship. I felt it a privilege to know them even as they struggled with their health. The heritage they left will be a great solace to their children. They lived honorably and uprightly.

Not a day will go by that you wont cross my mind. Your beautiful smile, our afternoon conversations while we indulged on See's Chocolates, ensure, and 2% milk. I will miss you more than you will ever know. I wish you forever peace and lots of See's candies.
