Blaine F Parker

December 31, 1958 - March 23, 2018

Blaine F. Parker 59, passed away on March 23, 2018, in Ogden, Utah.  He was the son of Vern and Dorthy Parker.

Blaine graduated from Bonneville High School. He worked at the Union Pacific Railroad as part of a survey team and was proud of his railroad career as his father had worked there too. Blaine’s final career was working as a diesel mechanic. He never married.

Blaine was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting as the weather would allow.  Blaine loved to read, especially about the treasures and lore of the West, and it was always best while he was waiting for the fish to bite.  Blaine tended to be a friend to all those who met him in his travels to restaurants and other places around the area.  Blaine could shoot the “Bull” with the best of them and always had a story or a joke to tell, even as his illness crept up on him.

Blaine is survived by his extended family; Robert Lansford and Leslie Lansford; Jacqueline Frost, his devoted girlfriend; Michele Virden, his special friend; and many other friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vern Parker, and his mother, Dorothy Parker.

Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.

Blaine was one of the two neighborhood boys who were frequently at our home spending time with my dad. Since Dad only had girls, Blaine was like a son to him. Blaine and I went to the same school and graduated the same year. Blaine was always kind to me and others. I have fond memories of him and his cute little dog Skipper. Because of the kind of man he was, his was a life well lived. Remembering you with fondness "adopted brother."

How to condense so many pleasurable years of adventures and sometimes misadventures into one small paragraph? My time with Blaine was his growing up period; our daughters went to the same high school and he was the neighborhood kid. He called me chief and my wife mom. We boated, camped, fished, hunted, and made annual treks to the forest for winter firewood. Blaine was the most down to earth person that I've ever known - an innocent breath of fresh air. My fond memories of him and the time that we spent together will always remain within my heart. Rest in peace old friend.

We are so sorry for your loss Jackie! You are and have always been the Love of his life and best friend even to the last! You were there for him, holding his hand till our Father called him home! That's the kind of friend you are! Blaine was an awesome guy and we enjoyed the time we did spend with him! He'll truly be missed by all who knew him! "Fish on", my friend!
