Casey Gridley Shorten, aged 66, peacefully passed away at home on June 9, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 26, 1950 to Ralph and Helen Shorten in Ogden, Utah. Casey graduated from Ogden High School in 1969 and remained life-long friends with many classmates. He married the love of his life Annagay on February 29, 1992.
He was a decorated officer for the Ogden Police Department for over 21 years. He spent many years working with at-risk youth coaching amateur boxing. He lived life to the fullest; he enjoyed traveling, glamping, golfing, skiing, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He loved all animals and most of all his dogs Doogie and Bowser. He added a touch of humor to all aspects of life.
