Dale Alvin Page

March 21, 1930 - August 21, 2013

Dale Alvin Page was born in Marco Indiana March 21st, 1930 to Doyle Alvin Page and Dorothy Lace Page.  He passed away August 21, 2013 surrounded by his family.


Dale had a wonderful childhood growing up in Southern Indiana.  He often compared it to Huckleberry Finn.  He graduated from L&M High School in 1947.  He married Jean Pope and together they had 2 children, they were later divorced.


Dale served in the Korean war, he was a inducted in Jan 1952.  His time in Korea was spent using classified electronics equipment performing top secret duties on the 38th parallel line.  He was honorably discharged October 24th 1953.


After returning from Korea he went to Gradwohl University in St. Louis Missouri to become a Medical Laboratory Technician.


His education and career path eventually brought him to Utah where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology at Weber State University.  He was a Chemistry Supervisor at McKay Dee Hospital retiring after 25 years of service.


On April 27th 1977 he married Sharon Boyle in Clearfield Utah and became a father to her two daughters.  Some of their fondest memories were spent skiing and hiking.  Sharon and Dale loved to travel, they have been many wonderful places but their favorite was Hawaii, where they returned many times.


Dale was proud of his posterity, he loved to tell friends and acquaintances how many grand children and great grandchildren he had.


Surviving Dale are, his wife, Sharon Page, 4 children, Brenda Frost, Steven Page, Michelle Flint, and Natalie (Curtiss) Sallade; 14 grandchildren: Dannie Frost, Brady (Tara) Frost, Brock (Ann) Frost, Randie Frost, Taylor Frost, Ben Page, Kayce Page, Nathaniel (Sharon) Conley, Ashley (Devin) Olsen, Nicholas Conley, Candace (Joe) Sievert, Amanda (Jeremy) Burnam, Sean Sallade and Alex Sallade; 15 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; 3 sisters, Ruth (James) Cline, Carolyn (Ronald) Mercer, Patti (David) Elliott, all of Indiana; many nieces and nephews, a brother-in-law Richard (Pam) Boyle and his mother-in-law Connie Boyle.


Preceding Dale in death were his parents; 3 brothers, Donald Page, Robert Wayne Page and Jackie Lee Page; 1 nephew Dannie Cline; 1 niece Becky Crawford, and his father-in-law Wayne Boyle.


The family would like to thank Dr. Johnny Cook, Dr. Vincent Hansen and staff and Dr. David Shprecher of the University of Utah.  His physical therapists Jenn, Rowdy and Trent for the many hours spent with Dale.  Advocate Hospice was a god send, the CNA’s provided Dale with wonderful tender loving care and a special thank you to LaDawn RN and Mike for their wonderful care, love and support.


Celebration of his life will be held Monday August 26th, 11:00 a.m.  A viewing will be held Sunday night from 6-8 and Monday one hour prior to service, all at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street.  Interment: Aultorest Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be made at

Sharon so sorry about your dear husband. It has to come but we really don't want it too. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Memories never leave us and those that fill our heart continue to fill that spot always.

My sympathy to Sharon and family. I worked with Dale for many years in the lab at McKay-Dee. He always looked so young and handsome!
