Dale Bartholomew Stewart

May 29, 1950 - May 4, 2016

Dale Bartholomew Stewart, 65, of Rancho Murieta California passed away in an automobile accident on May 4th, 2016.

Dale was born on May 29th, 1950 to Morriss Bartholomew and Edna Wright Stewart in Payson Utah.  Dale spent much of his youth in South Ogden Utah and excelled at baseball and football.  He graduated from Bonneville High School in Ogden Utah in 1968 where he was known as an excellent athlete and was a student officer.  He went on to attend Utah State University on a football scholarship.  Dale shared his passion for sports with many and coached and mentored many little leaguers over the years.

Dale is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in 1970 in the North Central States Mission serving the people of Minnesota and Manitoba Canada.

He married Patty Rich DeHaan in 1974 and they had three children, Shalece (Brandt) Sanders of Mountain Green Utah, Angie (Nate) Boswell of Liberty Utah and Jordan DeHaan of Salt Lake City, Utah.  They later divorced.  He married Kami Dunn Jensen in 1992. They also later divorced.

The majority of Dale’s professional life focused much around the construction industry ranging from sales and supply to the management of construction projects.  At the time of his death he was the President of Access Modification Services, Inc. in Rancho Murieta, California; a company dedicated to building access features in homes for those with limited mobility.

Dale has an outgoing and engaging personality.  His charismatic and friendly manner made him many friends and associates over the years.  He had a way with words not only in conversation but he was also an excellent writer.   It is hoped that Dale’s physical challenges may now be relieved and that he may rest in the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Dale is preceded in death by his Father Morriss, Mother Edna, Brothers Larry, Charlie, John, Jim, and Ralph and is survived by his Sisters Elsie Thomas (Rex deceased) of Spanish Fork, Ludene Field (Ed) of Goshen and Brothers Joel Stewart (Rhonda) of South Ogden and Don Stewart (Sharon) of Ogden Utah.  He is also survived by sisters-in-law Margie, Sharon, Mary, Louise and Bobbie and numerous nieces, nephews and eight grandchildren: Breely, Brenon, Janson, Porter, Jillian, Olivia, Ben and Evette.
