Dear Clifford Family,I was both shocked and saddened when I heard that Brother Clifford had passed away. I am sorry that I didn't make it to the viewing to see you in person to express my condolences; I just had too many prior committments and wasn't able to work it out. Brother Clifford was a kind man, very proud of his family and all of your accomplishments. He was a very faithful secretary of our Sunday School Class for many, many years. He would stand up and try to get everyones' attention and would quietly welcome us to Sunday School and would announce who was giving the opening and closing prayers. He never appeared flustered or impatient or angry when people wouldn't stop talking. He always sat next to Al Dickamore during Sacrament Meeting, Al looked a little lost Sunday and didn't sit in their usual place. It seemed really strange. I am so sorry for your loss. It was so sudden, which is wonderful for the one who passes on, but very difficult for those left behind missing them. May you have peace and comfort during these difficult times. Sincerely, Nancy (Jennings) Field
