Elgin Myrle Charlesworth

April 16, 1940 - June 15, 2016

Elgin Myrle Charlesworth, 76, passed away June 15, 2016.

 

Elgin served in the Army as a member of the Medical Corps before returning home to become a proud member of the Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union for over 35 years.

 

He was a strong supporter of scouting as well as volunteering at the Riverdale Senior Center.

 

Elgin is survived by his six children; seven grandchildren as well as a sister and brother.

 

A Viewing will be on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.                .

 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 am also at Leavitt’s Mortuary.  Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am.

 

Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.

I have many memories of Elgin's Scouting service, especially with the Order of the Arrow. He strongly supported Todd's and Troy's OA activities, while also helping many other young men. Good man. Great Scouter.
