Grant was raised in Ogden, Utah.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service.  Following his time in the military, he moved to South Weber, Utah where he and his bride raised their family.  He worked for the U.S. government for 38 years and retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1987.

So sorry to hear about a good friend and golf companion leaving our good earth. I really enjoyed my times with Grant. We played a lot of golf together on many courses. He was a special friend that I'll remember always. Sad to see him go. Good luck to you Janean, may God be with you. Also to Lynn with whom I played many rounds of golf with. I went to school with Henry and haven't seen him since school days. May we all meet again some day. Arnie
