Henry O Gemar

October 12, 1937 - September 11, 2012

Henry O. Gemar Jr. 74, returned to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. He was born on October 12, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Henery O. Sr. and Ellen Gemar. Henry married Dawn LuJean Wilson, they were later divorced. He later served his country in the Navy where he earned his GED. The Navy also taught him how to be an electrician, which is what he did for most of his life. He belonged to the Brother Head of Electrical Workers. When it came time he retired from work but not life. One of his favorite pastimes was taking his grandchildren to do fun things like the Dinosaur Park and the Zoo. I believe they kept him going especially his grand daughter Emily. They were two peas in a pod. Your family and friends will miss you greatly, you were loved much. Till We Meet Again. Henry is survived by his brothers, Max, Edward (Marsha) and Richard (Josephine) Gemar. He is also survived by his son John Gemar, grandkids: Daniel, Britney, Carson and Garett Gemar, Olivia Holt and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lula Clark and Betty Gera hart, son Henry O. Gemar III and daughter Penny Holt. Services for Henry will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. also at the mortuary. I know there were times we didn't always see eye to eye on everything, but I would like to think that as grandparents we always did what we thought was the best. I sure enjoyed the coffee we had together on the trips we took the girls on. Henry will really be misssed. He was like that saying "you never know what your going to get" from day to day he could change his mind and way of thinking. He sure loved Danielle and her children and would do anything in the world for them, Emily will miss him and I know Hensi will miss grandpa to. Bless be

Dear Gemar Family; I know that this life is full of happiness, joy and comes along with sadness and sorrow. The happiness that comes into our lives when a new little baby is born, brings incredible joy and excitement. But, the death of a loved one brings overwhelming feelings of loss and sadness. Sadness and vulnerability that isn't easily overcome or comforted. I pray that all of Uncle Jr's family and friends feel the love that he has for you. That all of his precious grandchildren cherish memories of hanging out with their loving grandpa, and John may you be comforted by the warmth and love of family and friends and the knowledge that you will, one day, be reunited with your dad again. To my uncle's Max & Eddie; It's incredible the years that pass and the things in our lives that change, having to readjust to a new normal is not easy to do. I pray that you and your families are well and I hope to see you on Monday. To my sweet dad; you are the baby of the family and Uncle Jr had a great influence on the man that you are and some of the choices (good or not so good(:) you made. I love you so very much and am sorry for you, for the loss of a dear brother. God bless you all with the love and comfort only He can provide.Sincerely;Kindra
