Jefferey Adam Hughes, called “Dude” by his family, passed away on November 15, 2017. He is now in the arms of our savior Jesus Christ, and we are grateful to know that he is no longer in pain.
The fourth child of John Hughes and Jeanine Hughes, he was born in Lancaster, California, on September 14, 1991. He graduated from Lehi High School in 2009. He attended the University of Utah, studying film editing. While he did not obtain his degree, he always planned to return to studies.
Jefferey loved fishing and camping, playing guitar and harmonica, snowboarding, video games and watching hockey on TV. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. He especially enjoyed his time at the cabin that the family built on their property in the mountains, where his ashes will be laid to rest.
Everyone who knew Jeff will always remember how he made them smile with his incredible sense of humor.
He was a loving son who gave unselfishly to care for his mother over the last few years.
Jeff is survived by his parents John (Jan) and Jeanine Hughes, his siblings Jonathon, Jennifer (Austin) Tango, and Jessica, as well as his grandparents Bob and Evelyn Elston, and Kitty Hughes, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members
