In her final years she shared her home and life with her older sister Claire. They would delight all of us with their accounts of life on the Salmon River. We will always remember the joyful way she whistled like a bird. She taught us the names of many wild flowers and had great respect and love for all of God’s creatures, large and small. There was never a baby or plant that didn’t love our mother, because they thrived under her care.
