I did not know the deceased or his family but saw the obituary in the paper and felt the need to reach out. On February 17, 2011 my brother died from the same thing that Joshua did. My family and I were so stunned because we did not think that H1N1 was still considered a threat to anyone. My brother got H1N1 in Italy and so we thought that he got sick because he was out of the country and had he not been, he would have been ok. So, I was surprised to see the Joshua suffered the same symptoms right here in Ogden. My brother died upon his return from Italy but was alone in California when he went into the hospital. We were able to fly out and be with him during his last hours. However, we continue to think through the timeline and ask ourselves "what if" questions. I don't know about your Joshua, if you have the answers, how he got sick etc. But I just wanted to share our condolences for your loss as we understand what it feels like. I wish the best for Joshua's surviving family. May peace be with you.

I loved my brother in many ways, He and I just got back into the scene of being like we were when we were little kids. From birth to teens, we were unable to be separated. Josh was always the analytical one, he considered everyone and every scenario in his thoughts. He sorely missed his mother growing up as I have, but thanks to god, he had wonderful parents in Grandpa and Grandma Jaques! Time may have closed the gap that we had, I will consider myself lucky to have ever had such a compassionate brother, I feel like he shared my soul and know a part of me is forever lost in him!! I LOVE YOU BRO!

Joshy will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so glad we had a great relationship, these past years. I was so happy to have been able to share some of Joshy's childhood memories through pictures for him and his wife to cheerish and now Deena will always have those special memories as I did. I was so lucky to have had such a wonderful little boy in my life , and see him as he became an adult and always had such a loving heart. We shared alot in common and of course The Jazz was #1. I loved talking with him and looked forward to our Facebook posts. I love you Joshua and I know you are safe in our Fathers hands and watching over us all. I celebrate your life you had, and the wonderful things you brought to others in their life. Let's try to remember the celebrating of life and all the fun things Josh did and we all did with him. The smiles , laughs, jokes, and of course those beautiful blue eyes that melted our heart!!!!! Love ya Joshy Juls xoxo
