My heart is broken for this amazing family! Kevin was certainly one of a kind and it is such a shock to lose him from this life way too soon. Kevin and Thelma really is KevNThel! He had posted their love song, Unchained Melody, on his Facebook, writing: "This is for my lovely wife". What a beautiful love story! I am so proud of Kevin for creating such a wonderful life with his beloved family. No man ever loved his family more!He was an unusually caring brother, uncle, son, brother-in-law and friend. It is especially sad for Tim and Leen, who have been so close, always. I'll never stop laughing at his straight-faced humor and his quick wit..He courageously overcame many obstacles in his life and has been such an inspiration to many! I think he was a modern day Irish warrior. He will be dearly missed by my whole family..We've shared so many fun and tragic memories. We love you!

Thelma and Family, Please accept my condolences. I am so truly sorry for your loss. I know Kevin was a wonderful Husband who is loved eternally by his loving wife and beautiful family. Kevin provided a marvelous beacon for his family to follow. He led by example in which so few do today. He loved and provided for his family by being strong but sensitive to their needs and desires. That he loved all of his children and grandchildren and his lovely wife was apparent in every action he made. He guided with love and he shall continue to do so for he will live forever in all our hearts. The new journey that he has begun will be as successful as the one which he is departing. Go now Kevin and rest and know that you are loved and missed by many who admired you for the man you are and kind spirit you possess. May God please bless your loving family with the comfort and strength that you instilled in each one of them? Let them exercise the compassion and love that you showed them. Let them enjoy life as you did. And may He give them faith in the gospel and the promise of everlasting life. You will be sorely missed but forever loved.

I've known Kevin for a few years and have always smiled when I saw him coming up. He was a great guy and will be missed by many. I never met anyone who didn't like him. Just a great big nice personality with a great outlook on life. My heart goes out to his family for their loss. What a great light he was.

Dear Thelma and Kids (? I guess I have to use the term loosely since time has gone by and you are all grown up now...). I was so shocked to hear of Kevin's newest adventure just as you were when you heard of Lenny's. It took me back to the early years when we all hung out over on 26th and Van Buren and teased him about trading jobs as often as he changed cars. The kids were small and we were all a little bit not sure what we were doing. I thought about skiing with him and him teaching Hutch to ski. I thought about about the many hours we spent at you know where drinking coffee and telling stories. Seems like there aren't too many of the good old ones left. Thelma, I know you have lots of friends in Ogden but you'll always have a special spot in my heart from those early days. God will carry you well through this I know that from experience. He isn't really gone you know. He'll show himself to you every day in little ways. He loved you so absolutely.

Thelma, Shawn. Michael & Crysta, there are no words...I loved and respected Kevin, as I do all of you, and the wonderful family you have become. His calming voice, and slow and thought out way in which he helped you to see things clearly, never giving you the answer, but forcing yourself to think for yourself... I am grateful for the example of the great husband, father and friend he showed everyone to be. He will truly be missed. Until we meet again Kevin...

I am so sorry for your loss! Kevin has been a good friend for over 40 years. I also worked with him for many years. He was a good and trusting friend. Always good to talk to and always had something funny to say. When I see Kevin I see the great husband, father and grandfather that he is and I also see the fun teenager friend that I knew. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Gary Jay

I will miss the stories that Kevin shared with all of us, when he talked about his grandchildren; it was with gentleness, when he talked about his children; it was with pride and when he talked about his wife; it was with love. I feel fortunate to have known him.
