January 28, 1926 - January 5, 2012

Lois “Gerry” Murray, 85, passed away January 5, 2012 at McKay Dee Hospital. She was born, January 28, 1926 to Lee and Annie May Heap in, Tooele, Utah. Lois graduated from the Dee School of Nursing in 1947 and worked as a nurse at the Dee Hospital. She married LaMoine “Swede” Murray in Jerome, Idaho on June 25, 1947. After their marriage, she assisted her husband at Murray’s Pharmacy with accounting and the snack bar.Lois treasured the time she spent playing bridge with her friends. She was a member of the Ogden Golf and Country Club. She was an avid reader of books and enjoyed cooking.Lois is survived by Jan (Jim) Thomas, Scott Murray, and Jill (Rob) Coulson, sisters, Edith Brooks and Ann Walgamott, as well as brothers, Dick and Bob Hart. She has 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie May Hart, husband, LaMoine “Swede” Murray, son, Brad Murray, and sisters, Leona Harding and Ethel Kleppe.A memorial service will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary located at 836 36th Street in Ogden, on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to YCC of Ogden.Cremation under the direction of Leavitt’s Mortuary.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.leavittsmortuary.com

Jerry I remember all the wonderful Thanksgiving Dinners, the wonderful meals, the laughter, playing cards and all the great talks. I remember how you accepted me into your heart and how you always made me feel welcome. I have always missed you and hoped one day I could see you again.
