Losing my big brother was a shock. He didn't come around for a lot of years. He had his reasons. The last few years he started coming to Thanksgivings. I remmeber one year we started talking about politics and Obama. I have never heard him talk about anything with such passion. He was ight about everything he was saying. That was something I didn't know about him. He talked about everything Obama was promising to do for America. Absolutly nothing. He was right. I miss him now more than ever since Mom passed our family is divided. He would be my brother and not on this side or that side. I could call him and know that was as far as the conversation would go. He would tell me there's nothing to worry about it doesn't matter. This would not be happening if he were still alive.I love you and have more good memories than bad about the things we did before we were to old to do them.Your little sister,Lynette Averett

We had good times, we had some bad times. The memories i choose to keep are all the important things you taught me growing up. The things i needed to know in order to live a life I could be proud of. You instilled in me the desire to graduate high school, (even if i got it done late), to start college and make something of myself. Thank you, Mac, for believing in me even when i would fall. I hope to see you on the other side. Goodbye Dad.

It was a privilege, for me to not only work side by side with Mac over the past five years , but also to call him a great friend. We spent many hours together, had many laughs, and great times. He was a driving force for me to strive to be better at what I set out to accomplish, and I referred to him many times as "hero" ! I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to spend the time with him that I did, and the many things that I learned from him ! I have a hard time believing that things will ever be the same ! He is, and will continue to be sorely missed ! Thanks for everything my brother ! I love ya man !

I’m privileged to have been Mac’s friend and work companion for the past ten years. He was an extremely hard worker. He was a talented Mechanical / Electrical craftsman one you could truly rely on, if Mac was on the job you knew it was going to get done and get done right. He trained and mentored countless apprentice craftsmen, never holding back knowledge or help. Mac Averett one of the best!! He will be sorely missed! Mac, thanks for being my friend and co-worker Jeff Summers

I am so sorry for you loss, Mac was someone who would crack a joke and flash his smile to anyone and everyone he met. I worked with Mac since 2009 and it seems like the last year I couldn't go shopping or anywhere else in Brigham City without running into him, even my 5 year old daughter would recognize him and yell out "Hey Mac" from across the room. His personality made him stand out in a crowd and he added so much to his team at work. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I'm glad to have known Mac as we shared many good times together. He had a special way of spreading smiles and happiness to everyone that he came in contact with. Like so many high school friends, our paths carried us in different directions once we graduated. Despite moving on in our lives, I will always cherish our childhood friendship. As with your family and friends, you will always hold a special place in my life. Mac, thanks for being my friend. Alan Crawford
