I have many memories of Marty. I lived next door to Marty as a child and grew up with many fond memories. Pam was my very best friend and I spent a lot of time at the Groberg home. They were like my second family. I was so sad to read of the passing of Marty. I would love to go to the funeral but my work doesn't allow me to be there. I have missed seeing the Grobergs. I will always cherish my childhood memories. Marty was a very nice friend and I'm glad that I had the opportunity of knowing him.

I have so many but the best one was we were playing cowboy and indian's with Marty, Mike, Tom and Brad Stain, my friend Linda and me. Linda and I were the indian women and they captured me and wanted to burn me at the stake. So they tied me to the telephone poll, put weeds on my feet and lit the matches. I started to scream and Mrs Stain heard so the boy stamped out the fire on my feet. After we all got into trouble we played it all over again, just with no fire. Marty I will miss you dearly please watch out for Lloyd, until we see each other again. Love You Aunt Pam

Since he was young, I was so surprised when I first heard of Marty's illness from my little brother, Jimmy, who is a maintenance supervisor at the rest home in northern Ogden where Marty was first placed. It seemed like so short of time after he had moved into my grandparent's former house that my cousin probably didn't get much of a chance to enjoy those memories. I guess you can never tell what the next day will bring. Even though Marty's been ill for quite awhile now, I'm sure his passing (although a blessing for him) is still very hard on those who love him especially his children and grandchildren. You are in my thoughts and prayers. The grief will endure but hopefully it lessens with time and you can remember the good times first and foremost. God bless!Jamie Lou (Korn) Wheelwright

Marty was a resident @ Beehive Home in Roy. I am a caregiver there and this is where I met Marty. He was an awesome person . He was very nice and had a good sense of humor. He would always want a snack before bed time so I would say "Marty ya want the usual?" Yup he would answer. Which was.....A bowl of frosted mini wheats (big) then top it with chocolate syrup pour milk over it and heat it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes! He says chocolate is good on almost anything!!!!! I would get a laugh out of it! I'm happy for him he is free from all those things that were wrong . May the Lord bless you all and bring comfort to your hearts at this time. I'm so glad I got to know Marty we will miss him.
