My condolences to the Allen Family as you grieve the loss of Mother Allen. I have many fond memories of my time at Griffin. I remember once when I was going through a really rough time and Mother Allen spoke words of encouragement that strengthened my spirit. I know they were inspired by the Holy Spirit because I did not tell her what was going on in my life at the time. However, The Father knew. May the Holy Spirit comfort you and keep you in His Peace during this time and always. And may the memories of her life inspire you and cheer your hearts in the days ahead.Be blessed forever with the Love and Peace of Christ,Sister Stephens

I thank God for Mother Allen she imputed so much spiritual knowledge and wisdom in me. She always spoke kind and encouraging words. From being apart of the ministers wives circle, purity class, women's department etc. she would always encourage me to keep moving forward no matter who or what that tried to stop me. Mother Allen will be missed by so many people, she touched lives not only in the church but the lives she touched reached beyond the four walls of the church. One thing I will remember is that when she spoke she meant what she said, and said what she meant. We would speak nearly 7:00 every morning talking about our purpose and the planned path that God has us on. This woman left a mark on me that continues to fuel my future. I loved her so much. My condolences to Bishop and family God just added another flower to his garden.R.I.P Mother Martha Allen.Prophetess Cheryl Lee

I am so very humbled and thankful to have known this great woman of God. Never will I forget the words she has spoken into my life; who couldn't appreciate such wisdom and bold honesty?! Beautiful beyond measure both inside and out. Thank you Mother Allen for teaching me how to cut a chicken and make bisciuts from scratch. Something so little means so much! Just a simple example of the woman you are and the women that you wanted for us to become. When my heart was broken and life seemed as though it was no longer worth living, YOU talked, you hugged, you met me at the altar, you prayed. You will be missed, never to be forgoten... ALWAYS alive and cherished in the meories that you ahve left me. Sincerest prayers to Bishop Allen and family...To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:3

Still having trouble grasping the reality that you have left us. You've been a constant in my life for as long as I remember. I remember your wise words at all of the important moments of my life. I remember your counsel and the little nuggets you would drop on me when I didn't even know how to express what was on my heart. It seemed like you knew, even though I hadn't said anything. It was my endeavor to stop in and visit you every time I made it in to town, and though I wasn't always able, I'm so glad that we got to sit and visit for a while the last time I was in town. As a young person who struggled to find my way in life, I always knew that you loved me and wanted the best for me. My siblings and I have the utmost love and respect for the consistent loving and supporting person you have been in our lives over the years. We treasure all of the memories; the laughs, the prayers, the teaching and sometimes scolding, that we received from you. We know that we were truly loved by you, and that intensifies the sweetness and the sorrow that we are feeling right now. I love you!

You reminded me just a few days ago that integrity is not what we do when people are watching but what we do when we think no one knows, thank you for being a women of integrity, saying the truth, even when you knew that the powers that be were not in alignment with you. You said, even if he does not use it, the qualities of a great man are vision, integrity, courage, understanding, the power of articulation, and profundity of character and one a single lie destroys a whole reputation of integrity.” You were a wise women, I understand now what you were saying to me.

You are so beautiful to me and I could go on. Mom you are my inspiration my rock, my strong tower, mom you were my whole World. You taught me how to be the man I am today, and along with Dad you helped me find my way. Today I'm sad in a big way, but because I know you are in the arms of Jesus, I'm going to rejoice, and one day I'm going to join you. You are the greatest Mother a man could have, a great friend and I just loved the way you told me the truth. Mom words are not enough to really tell you how I feel, but just know that your baby loves you so much. A big part of me is gone on to be with The Lord, but you told me what to do and mom I'm going to do it. To the family we will make it, because Mom and Dad taught us how. Mom ( I will always love you, cause your my favorite girl )I will always think of you and I pray that you will be with me in those times as you were before. I Love You and Miss You MomWayne

To my Dearest Uncle(Father) and To my Cousins (Brothers and Sisters) I share your sadness and pain. While we all know that Aunt Nancy (Mom) is in a much better place we still will miss her smile and most of all that voice that was so rich and strong that imparted things that sometime we didn't want to hear but most of the time needed to hear. I'll forever cherish every moment that I shared with her. No greater woman in this or any other world as the woman that she was in life and will be memorized in death. I'll miss her but I will always carry her voice in my head and heart and I can still hear he singing early in the morning before we got up and hear her and Uncle Bob get on their knees saying those prayers that kept us safe. I love you sweet lady. As one of the last things you said to me. Open the blinds so I can feel the sun. I'm feeling the sun this morning.
