Mary Lou Moffat Wallin Richards Cronquist, 90, was born March 19, 1925 to James and Lula Brown Moffat in Smoot, Wyoming. She was the ninth of 11 children. On Friday, October 30, 2015, she happily rejoined her parents and nine siblings who passed before her.
Mary Lou married Everett Wallin in 1954 and together they had one son. In 1957, she married Carl Eugene (Rick) Richards and they had two more children. In 1987 she married Elam (Dick) Cronquist with whom she spent many happy years prior to his passing in 2001.
During her time in this life, she had several different jobs, including working at the post office during World War II, managing Mary Lou’s – a night club named after her, and managing Westwood Village Mobile Home Park. However, if you asked her, she would tell you her greatest accomplishment was raising her three children, each of whom she was so proud of and loved unconditionally.
Mary Lou is survived by her youngest sister, Edna Jones, Hooper, Utah; her three children: Kevin (Taniesha) Wallin, Las Vegas, Nevada, Scot (Lori) Richards, Riverdale, Utah and Tana Dominguez, Rutland, Massachusetts; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of family and close friends will be held to celebrate Mary Lou’s life at 11:00 am, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Levitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah, followed by a Graveside Service at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
