Monique Sidney Goeckeritz Lovato

December 13, 1970 - October 13, 2015

Monique Sidney Goeckeritz Lovato, born in Tracey, California on Sunday, December 13, 1970 has passed from this earth into her Heavenly Father’s loving arms on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Ogden, Utah.

Monique is the sweet beloved wife of Richard Lovato.  The minute they met they instantly clicked and fell in love.  They were married on August 1, 2000.  Monique became the love of Richard’s life instantly, and ever since the first day they met, they have been inseparable.

Monique had a spirit so bright that people were drawn to her greatness.  She touched everyone she met and left an impression on them for a lifetime.  She had a love of reading and would read any book she could get her hands on.  Her lifetime dream was to become a published author.  She accomplished this goal and her novel, “Supernatural Destiny”, was released in 2014.

Monique had a love of movies and owned an extensive movie library.  She loved to curl up on her free time and watch them over and over.  Her love of animals knew no bounds.  She loved horses and thought they were magnificent creatures.  She had several fur babies (puppies) that knew her unconditional love for them.

Monique was blessed with many talents, but her singing voice was remarkable.  Her beautiful ballads could move your soul.

Monique is survived by her loving husband, Richard Lovato; parents, Merlin and Karen Goeckeritz; her siblings, Sean (Taryn) Goeckeritz, Matt (Lynda) Goeckeritz, Natasha (Wyatt) Banks, Paul (Heather) Goeckeritz, Casey (Eric) Delong, Candse (Jon) Ausman, Michael Goeckeritz; and her extended family of many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.  We will miss her contagious smile, her laughter, and huge loving heart!

Although no buildings were built in her honor, or monuments erected in her name, we can tell you that she accomplished great things on this earth by loving her family and friends with an unconditional love that never quit.  She will be remembered in our hearts with each breath we take, and her legacy will continue on in us.

Dearest Merlin and Karen, Roy and I want send our love. Words cannot express our sorrow for your loss of your beautiful Monique. No parent can imagine having their child leave this earth before them. We are grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that Monique is in a better place, but we are human and tears come and our hearts ache. May the love of friends and family and precious memories sustain you at this time. And in time, may peace come to you both. I think of a joyous reunion in Heaven with all of Monique's loved ones. She will be missed so much here. "Till we meet again...." With all my love, "Rex" - Rexene

Dear Merlin and Karen Gurn and I wanted to let you know that we will be thinking of you as you and your family meet tomorrow. We never knew your children but we know that the Lord knows and knew Monique, as well as your other family members. Just remember that He is always there for you, all you have to do is pray and ask for His help to get through these times. I know that no words can really help you at this time but know that our prayers are with you. Love your cousin - Paula and Gurn Brown

Dear Goeckeritz and Lovato Families, In the memories of my youth, Monique stands like an angel. I remember laughing, playing, reading and just having fun with her all summer long. Such a beautiful soul and heart is what we all hope for in our daughters, sisters, wives and friends and Monique shared that with all of us. I am so grateful to know that she published her book as Monique was filled and moved by words of love, honor and charity. I am warmed by the knowledge that she found the true love of her life, Richard Lovato. Their love story looks like one for the ages. I hope for all of us that love Monique, that we can take out our best memories and share them with each other as she has left indelible fingerprints on all of our hearts. While she is no longer with us here, she will always be in my memories and my heart. I love you all. Your Friend, Adrienne Gillespie Andrews
