Ora Gayle (Williams) Ellis, was born March 25, 1928, to Jacob and Edna Lee (Ivey) Williams.
She attended and graduated from Eliza Miller High School in Helena, Arkansas. After Graduating, Ora briefly attended nursing school until she met and married Arthur Lee Jones and moved to California in 1946. To this union two children were born, Naomi Rosetta and Vincent Jacob. Unfortunately, this union could not sustain itself and they parted ways.
In 1964, Ora met and married Clarance Ellis (who preceded her in death in 1972). There were no children from this union.
In 2005, Ora received and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She joined and faithfully attended (with the assistance of her brother and sister in Christ, Fred and Ollie Butler) Tabernacle Baptist Church, Lester Mosley Pastor. Due to poor health, Ora relocated to Ogden, Utah with her daughter, Naomi. She lived out her days in Ogden loving the summers, loving the winter snow (from her bedroom) just enjoying the peace and comforts of life she was called Home to God, on Monday morning, October 30, 2017. She now joined her husband Clarence, parents Edna and Jacob; brothers, Howard, Robert, James, sisters, Florence and Cornelia, and son, Vincent who all preceded her in death.
To cherish her memory, Ora leaves her daughter, Naomi; three grandchildren, Charles Davis II, Jenise Davis, and Kesha Jones Treggs; eight great-grandchildren, Miko Regan, Tyteanna Davis, Charles Davis III, Vincent Jackson Sr., Dominique Jackson, Jemesha Treggs, Jimmontae Willis, and Kendra Green; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Greyson Regan, Dream, Brycen, Myles Davis, Vincent Jackson Jr., Treasure Jackson, and Codi Whetstone. Ora also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, friends, and church members.
Ora/Momma you will be truly missed, you are with your family and rejoicing with your Heavenly Father.
