Paul “Richard” Joseph Sanchez, 77, passed away October 23, 2015 after an extended illness, with family by his side.
He was the son of Joe G. and Ersie S. Sanchez, born in Trinidad, Colorado on June 30, 1938.
Richard’s greatest loves were family, fishing, camping, classic cars and through thick and thin the NFL Rams team. We will miss him and his love for attention, chit chat, stubbornness and his famous line, “I can fix that with duck tape, super glue and acrylic paint”! He can now fish all day and save us a spot till we see him again.
Richard is survived by his wife, Cheryl; brother Max (Betty) Sanchez; two son’s Rick (Patti) Sanchez, Paul Sanchez Jr.; three daughters, Debbie Sanchez, Christina (Justin) Clayton-Beshirs, Shawntel (Tom) Carnell; eight grandchildren, Shasta Gallegos, Chelsea Murdock, Erica Sanchez, Stephen Zele, Jaden Clayton, Hunter, Taylor, Shawn and Arya Carnell; nieces, Leasa Socci, Lora Baggett, April and Sherry Sanchez.
He is preceded in heaven by his wonderful parents, Joe G. and Ersie S.; son, Joey Jhon; niece, Tamara; brother, Thomas E.; father-in-law, Thomas Crookston; son-in-law, Brian Clayton; guard dog and best friend, Rusty; and grand-dog, Aki Princess.
The Family would like to thank all our Friends, Family and Employers for all your love and support while we were going through this hard time and all the staff of the ICU at IHC Medical.
A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at the wonderful Leavitt’s Mortuary.
