Condolences for Rama Rasmussen

I was very saddened to just learn of Rama's passing. She taught my wife Nancy Jo Davis in Baton A'rte and Nancy Jo adored her. I ran into her at Weber State just a few short years ago, and she told me how much she enjoyed teaching. I was so happy to see her. She was a very lovely lady, full of compassion and kindness. God bless all of you and may you be comforted by many happy memories of her.

I just received the news of Rama's death and was so saddened. I had just worked with her on the Box Elder High School 45th reunion in 2010 and got to know her much better than I did in high school. What a lovely lady! And she poured her heart and soul into the reunion which turned out to be a huge success. I'm sure she had this same dedication to her family and to life in general and will be terribly missed. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

My husband and I were reminiscing just today of our early days in Utah when we first arrived to work at Unisys in 1988 and I asked him if he remembered Rama Rasmussen who was my manager at that time. I then googled her to see if I could find her whereabouts so I could perhaps get in touch with her again and unfortunately I found this. I feel very sad to hear this news. She was a wonderful manager, a very organized person and very kind and humane. She invited us to her home once and we had such a good time and we have very fond memories of her. She was so kind and so very gracious. Rest in peace Rama.

Dear Family - I am so very sorry for your loss...I grew up right next door to the 'Glovers' and have very fond memories of Rama - as a dancer, as a drum majorette, as an intelligent and beautiful person...our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

I would like to tell Rama's family how much she meant to me. She taught me dance and gave me the passion to pass it on to other dancer's. I loved her very much and she did allot for me in my life. She will always have a special place in my heart. I am sure she is twirling her baton as we speak. "MUSIC IN MOTION" I am sending you hugs and lots of love during this difficult time. Wendy

Rama was a wonderful asset to the DATC and we were sad when she retired. She always brought a smile to my face. She will be missed.

Cami, my mother called me this morning an informed me of your mothers passing. I just wanted you to know what an inspiration she was to me in my life. When I think of the love a teacher has for their students, she is always the first to come to my mind. She was a teacher to my mother, my sister and myself. What an amazing woman Rama was, she will live on in all of you. God bless you and your family.

"To teach is to touch a life forever!" Rama, you were my very first dance teacher when I was 3 years old and now, 35 years later, I'm a dance teacher too. Dance has been my passion, and it is because of you. Thank you! May your family find comfort at this time. Until we meet again. XoXo

Dear family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Rama's passing. She was a great woman and my idol. She was a fantastic baton and dance teacher. She inspires me to teach young children baton because of the great joy it brought to me. It still does. I can't see a twirler, or a dancer without thinking of her. During this past Peach Days it was a continual comment that the parades and dance groups were much better when I was a child and teenager. There are hundreds of her students that love her and your family. We all became part of your family. I send my sincere love and sympathies to your family.

Cami, Todd, and Trevor Rama was one for the best people I have ever known. We had many conversations about how much she cared for her students when she taught at the DATC. Her total objective was how she could help them learn. Out of all that she accomplished in her life, what really made her face light up and her eyes sparkle was when she talked about her family. I am so sorry to learn she passed away over the weekend. I had hoped that I would see her again. All my best to your family. Brent

Rama was a talented sweet soul. As is common, our paths did not cross often after graduation, but that doesn't mean you do not think of your classmates during the years. Brenda and I attended her baton classes when young, and marched in the Peach Day Parade with her twirling group when in grade school.. We send our sincere sympathy. Jene & George
