Reece Leon Longfellow

April 2, 1959 - January 2, 2017

Reece passed away January 2, 2017 at the age of 57, in South Ogden, Utah. He was born April 2, 1959 to Max and Janice Longfellow, in Great Falls, Montana and graduated from St. Louis High School in the warm State of Hawaii.


Reece was honorably discharged after his service from the United States Army in 1979. He married his sweetheart Shelly on March 14, 1991. He enjoyed being around the people he cared about and was a devoted husband, son, brother, father and friend. Reece was the strong rock everyone counted on. He was and always will be a wonderful man.


Reece is survived by his mother, Janice; wife, Shelly; brothers, Keven (Denise) and Doug Longfellow; step brother, Mike McDonald; his five children, Bryan and Brandon Longfellow, Shawn (Janelle) and Sheri Taylor and Christopher Ziebach and the beautiful grandchildren they blessed him with; his best friend, Ralph Tree; nephew, Chase Longfellow and niece, JanNell Templeton who were very close to Reece and many other family members and friends. You will always be in our hearts.  We love you!


He is preceded in death by his father, Max; brother, Brian; sister, Becky and sister in-law, Mary.


A celebration of Reece’s life will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the VFW Post 1481 located at 907 West 12th Street in Ogden, Utah.


As per Reece’s wishes he will be cremated under the tender direction of Leavitt’s Mortuary and Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.

Remember Reece we played little league football together that has been quite a few years but I Cherish those times and the friends made back then RIP Reece. My condolences to the family and Colvin Rice whom believe is a cousin
