Richard Paul “R.P” Hampton, 79, much loved husband, dad, and grandpa, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Davis Hospital after a valiant battle with several health issues. Patsi, Kathy, Sandy and Brent,It was so good to visit with each of you last night!!! I have not been very good about staying connected these last several years as I should. Life seems to have gotten so very busy, and I probably work too much.I was the recipient of many of those trips to Lake Powell and Bear Lake, and snowmobiling at Monte Cristo. Your family has always been so generous - and especially Paul - He is such a good man!!! I have so many good memories of him and the times we all spent together. He was always so steady, and patient - even when things didn't always go right. He dedicated his life to each of you, and I always knew how much he loves each of you!!! With Love - Your Friend Always,David Nauta

Worked with Paul many trips on a caboose from Ogden to Green River, Wyo as his brakeman. He, and his good friend Bob Thompson were very good to the young guys working with them. The best to his family, Wes Rollins.
