My parents, John and Grace Harmon from Saluda,SC, traveled with your father to Germany quite a few years ago. Your father had a heart attack while en route, I believe. They showed me the letter that you sent to inform them of your father's death, and I just wanted to send our condolences and to say thank you for letting my parents know about your father. My father is 92 and still loves to tell "army" stories. I treasure the times that I have with him, and I, too, am sory for your loss.Brenda Eidson

Bob helped Donna through a very difficult transition period. She had been living with her daughter and recently broken both her wrists which meant she went to a nursing home for rehabilitation, until she could at least feed herself. Upon entering Mountain Ridge Assisted Living she had the good fortune of being seated for her meals next to Bob Brace. He buttered her toast, helped her cut her meat, and with good conversation formed a friendship for which we will all be eternally grateful ! He was affectionate and sincere in his manner. We came to greatly admire him for his wit, wisdom, and the impressive life which he led. Irene and Donna both looked forward to seeing him and talking to him every day. We are thankful for the time we spent with him and the memory we will always cherish of this wonderful man.
