Sergio Curletto

October 15, 1945 - April 1, 2018

Sergio Curletto, 73 years old, fought against cancer for the past ten months. Mind and heart alike, he pushed through with many victories. Though his disease became debilitating, it never changed his will or strength. He passed away on April 1st, 2018, with his beloved wife, Sandra and loved ones by his side.

He and his twin brother were welcomed into their family on October 15, 1945, by their parents Pedro Antonio Curletto and Elba Cuffia Curletto.

He went on to study medicine at Universidad National del Latoral from 1968-1972. Shortly after, he met Sandra Say. They married on April 9th, 1976, and had five beautiful children, four boys, and one girl. They were later sealed in the Buenos Aires Temple.

Sergio was very proud of his Italian roots. He and Sandra moved their family to Italy in 1988, where they lived for seven years until they migrated to the United States in 1995.

He went on to have a few long-term jobs that he excelled in. One of his favorites was being a realtor; he loved helping people and helping good, hardworking people get into homes that they could be happy in and grow into. It made him feel very proud.

Sergio had an adventurous soul and loved nature. He loved fishing and boating. His eyes lit up when he spoke of memories on the lake as a child, and he wanted to share that with his kids and grandchildren.

He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. He was involved and spent as much time as he could with them from the day they were born. One of his favorite pastimes was to mess with them and teach them to be witty and to be good sports.

He will be greatly missed, but most of all, admired. Sergio was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Say Curletto. Their children, Alejandro, Ricardo (Amy), Diego, David (Brittanny), Valeria (Mark); five grandchildren, Allison, Hannah, Sabrina, Natalie, Ezequiel, and Lucy; his two brothers, Pablo and Horacio; and many nieces and nephews.

An open house memorial will be held Friday, April 13th, at 1402 N Fort Ln, Layton, from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Services under the direction of Leavitt’s Mortuary.
