Stella Marie Loper

May 21, 1939 - June 10, 2017

Stella Marie Loper, 78, passed away June 10, 2017. Stella was born May 21, 1939 to James Ralph and Betty Ann Leach in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Stella attended both Lancaster, Ohio and Logan, Ohio High School. She married Glenn Loper on June 19, 2003

Stella has worked most of her adult life; most recently she was the manager of Junction City Café and also served as a school crossing guard in Ogden. Previously worked for Chromalox for over 20 years as an inspector and also worked for Amalgamated Sugar Company when first coming to Utah. She previously lived in the states of; Virginia, Ohio and Indiana while growing up.

She has been enjoying her retirement with the company of her family and grandkids, whom she loved very much. She loved taking care of her beloved puppy and cat.

She was a great gardener and enjoyed canning and making her special spaghetti sauce and salsa everyone loved. She loved the Western life style, enjoying the scenery and outdoor activities.

Stella is survived by her husband; Glenn Loper, sons; Larry Neal, Jack Neal Jr., daughters; Cindy Peterson, Reva Frederick, Tammy Donohoo and her brothers; Jim Leach and Bill Leach.

She has 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, one grandson, one daughter and her previous husband Jack Neal Sr.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family will greet friends Saturday prior to service from 9:45 – 10:45 AM.

Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park

Grandma Marie, you will forever hold a special spot in my heart. I was so blessed to have you a part of my life and get to know you over a period of time! You were so full of life and always could say something to put a smile on my face! I enjoyed my every three week appointments with you! I truly adore you! So saddened to hear of Maries passing. Loved seeing her each morning at the Junction. She started your day off right attending to each customers special requests and delighting us with her laughter while we waited. RIP Marie

Ny heart is heavy hearing this news. I loved seeing Marie everyday at the Junction. She'd have my latte started before I ever got to the counter. She was such a hard worker, glad she was enjoying her retirement.

Marie you were such an inspiration to me and brought a smile to my face every single morning as I would walk into work.. you greeted me with my redbull aka "wings" the second you seen me park you had it ready.. you were always so dang cute n spunky with the best hair and nails.. I'll never forget helping you find your little puppy and hearing the cutest stories daily.. you loved that little stink so much.. my heart is absolutely broken as I know you will be missed by everyone of us at the IRS who had the privelage to get to know you.. You always worked your little butt off daily and would put a smile on so many of our faces .. your little smartass comments will never be forgotten and the many laughs we shared.. Mom I love you so much and will miss you more than anyone will ever know, I know we were having rocky times but you were and will always be the best Mother I could ask for .
