Verda KaftonVerda Kafton, 89, passed away January 21, 2011 of natural causes. She was born June 13, 1921 in Stone, Idaho to Rollin and Leora Wade.Verda was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden City Schools. She married Alfred (Fred) Sei and later Henry Kafton.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Verda loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Her hobbies were crocheting and embroidery, but the things she enjoyed most were spending time with her family.Verda is survived by a daughter Sharon Sei (Spencer) Roberts, sons Henry Kafton Jr. and Robert Kafton; siblings Rollin Wade and Norma Wade Christiansen; daughter-in-law Lynne Sei; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son LaMont Sei and siblings.Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 11:00 am at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th St. Ogden. Friends and family may call from 10-10:45 am prior to the service. Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.leavittsmortuary.com

Sharon and Spence: I share with you this time of Sorrow and wish I could help lift the burden from you. I know you will always remember the smiling times we spent at the old house and up there on Harrison. I guess we all have to go thru the loss of a parent at some time, but it doesn't make it any easier. Time will heal us i'm sure and I hope you guys keep in touch. Bob & Barb K

Sharon I'm so sorry about your loss, your mom was such a sweet heart,when I took care of her it was a joy.
