Victoria Lynn Martinez

May 3, 1962 - April 22, 2018

I, Victoria Lynn Martinez, (born May 3rd, 1962 in Rome, NY) want my friends and family to know I was welcomed into the arms of my Heavenly Father and my parents Bill and Ruth Erskine on April 22nd, 2018.  I had a joyous mortal life, I grew up in Kearns, Utah. Our Father blessed me with many talents; I loved cooking, skating, sewing, and dancing, but most of all I loved my family unconditionally.  I would call my dear friend Kevin Butters every day to ask about my loved ones as I could never get social media to work as technology and I did not agree with each other. My dearest siblings Debbie (Lester) Thompson, Mary Wall, and Bill Erskine, I love you. My children Danielle (Stefan) Haynes, Misti (Josh) Cederholm, Sean Martinez, Justin Erskine (whom I am embracing now), Julian Erskine and Sealun Erskine, I love each of you with all my heart. I will continue to watch over you and hope you will make the right choices in life. To my grandchildren; Alex, Ryanna, Keegan, Noah, Avree, Caleb, Lexi, Milla, and Jaxon; as well as my many nieces, nephews, and friends choose the right and follow our Savior’s example each and every day.  As we have learned it can be short and unexpected. “Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” (John 16:22)

We were next door neighbors in the Terrace. We watched Julian and Sealun go up before our eyes. Vicky was always so kind to our family and loved her boys with all her heart. I loved running in to her at Macey's and chatching up. Our hearts go out to her sweet family. She will be missed.

I started my day in the sun with your chair next to me. Empty but I felt you there. We shared so much together. Ups downs secrets we cryed we laughed. We helped each other for decades trying to make life work. I will miss you Terribly. You was a mother and sister to me. You always picked me up. You kept me going with your crazy love for life. Thank you my friend. I'm not sure how I'm going to go on without you. You rest and I will see you in our next life.

Vicki, just know Uncle Paul and Aunt Sally will always hold you in our heart and remember you in prayer. We watched you grow up into a beautiful young lady through the years. We travelled to Utah every summer to spend time with all the family. As the years went by and we all had families we didn't get to see you as often as we would have liked, but when we did it was as if we all connected right away. We will miss seeing you on our next trip to Utah, but you will never be forgotten. Family - We will be thinking of you as you prepare to say your farewells to Vicki and so wish we could have been there. Love and hugs to you all.

Ohh Vicky.. How she was the most unique woman I ever knew. She loved so many. Every time she saw me she made sure to give me hugs and ask how I was and worried so much about me and my health. No matter if I saw her days in a row she made sure I was okay each day. She would call just to make sure I knew she was thinking of me and that I was doing okay. When I was in school and was sick I would go to her house til my mom got off work and Vicky always made sure I was comfortable. She was and always will be my Auntie Vicky. She was like a mother to so many and her memories will never fade❤ I love you.
