Wayne Williams

October 11, 1948 - December 27, 2014

Wayne Earl Williams went home to be with the Lord at age 66 on December 27, 2014. He was born to Pensword Charles and Velma Jean Williams in Sydney, Nebraska on October 11, 1948. After attending Clearfield High School, he became a decorated veteran in Vietnam as a Scout Dog Handler. He married Linda Williams, his sweetheart of forty three years, on July 1, 1971.

Wayne is remembered for his love of the outdoors, distinguished skill as a skier, compassion for his family and friends, a rambunctious side that captured his children’s and grandchildren’s hearts, a talent for guitar and eagerness to play to an audience, an extreme sense of honor in serving our country, and his earnestness to share the love and truth that shaped his life: his greatest passion, his Lord Jesus.

Wayne is survived by his wife Linda, his brother Charles, his sisters Penny and Debbie, his two children Jeromy and Heather, and seven grandchildren.

Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, father and his brother Gary.

A special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one Wayne. My brother and I, Ike Ramos, grew up at the Sioux Army Depot and went to high school in Sidney. Ike remembers your brother Charles. He lives in Buckeye, Arizona I live here in Ogden. We will keep your family in our prayers. Your loved one is with his Lord Jesus at home in heaven. God Bless and comfort you always.

My name is Joe Loffredo and I noticed the picture in the paper and knew I recognized Wayne form somewhere. I used to see him at the gym at DDO and we conversed often usually in the sauna. I could tell he was a family man and in love with Jesus. I came to learn that Gary was his brother. I was a friend and co-worker with Gary. I had some fun times with Gary and miss his company. I also learned that Jeromy was his son. I too am an alum of Saint Joseph Catholic High School and was coached by Father Joe Devlin in track. I am in charge of the Hall of Fame and would like to get in contact with Jeromy so we could properly recognize his achievements. he can call me at 801-710-8183 or e-mail me at joseph.loffredo@us.af.mil. I would appreciate hearing from Jeromy. Again my condolences on Wayne's passing. He had a very peaceful smile and will be missed. God Bless
