Wilma Ellertson

May 29, 1923 - July 13, 2015

Wilma Ellertson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, July 13, 2015.

She was born May 29, 1923 in Scott County Kentucky to Lawrence VanHook Welch and Lucile Brown Welch.  She married Calvin O. Ellerston on November 29, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Wilma loved babies, and her life was made complete by her children. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them if she could. Later in life she discovered basketball, the Jazz of course, and NASCAR races, much to the surprise of her children! If she was on the phone, she would say, “I have to go, the game is about to start!”

Wilma is survived by her sons, Craig (JoLene), and Randy; daughters, Tamara (Bill) Ruesch and Mitzi Bretz; her sister, Evelyn Welch; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother Lawrence; and her husband, Calvin.

Levin and I were sad to hear of your mom's passing this week. WOW, 92, she outlived all of that generation and she was a beautiful person. She was a favorite of ours and she will be sorely missed but we know she is in a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with all you kids and your families. God bless! Stephen and Levin Ellertson
