Cremation

There are many options to think about even if your final wish is for cremation.

Our services can be as minimal as performing a basic cremation with no services to giving you the option to follow full traditional services which may include a viewing and/or funeral service and then follow through with the cremation. We have a solid oak casket that is rented to you for such services.

Our mortuary is unique in the way that we can hold your services and then conduct the cremation all on our premises. We have two crematoriums at our location, and were the first in the state of Utah to perform cremations.

TRADITIONAL PACKAGE: FULL SERVICE FUNERAL

Offering A

Services of a funeral director and staff, transfer of remains to mortuary within 50 miles, embalming, other preparation of the body, use of facilities to shelter body, use of facilities for viewing (one evening and next day prior to service), funeral ceremony or service in our chapel or other facility, organist and vocalist if desired, funeral coach, limousine, flower vehicle (within 50 miles), committal or other disposition service.

GRAVESIDE PACKAGE: FULL SERVICE GRAVESIDE

Offering B

Service of a funeral director and staff, transfer of remains to mortuary within 50 miles, embalming, other preparation of the body, use of facilities to shelter body, use of facilities for viewing (next day prior to service), funeral coach, flower vehicle (within 50 miles), committal or other disposition service.

*There are additional charges not included in the packages. These charges include gravespace, grave opening, casket, vault, marker, flowers, obituary and Register book, Acknowledgment Cards, Memorial Folders.

Grief Support Group

Leavitt's Mortuary and Jan Medina, SSW have joined together to provide a Complimentary adult Grief Support Group for those whom have lost loved ones.

Grieving the loss of a loved one is said to be "the hardest work you will ever do." This support goup offers an open enviromnent in which individuals can share thoughts and feelings as well as recognize they are not alone.

Join us to understand how you and your loved ones may receive the support, understanding, and healing needed to move forward in a positive direction.

The Grief Support Goup meets every Wednesday. Facilitator, Jan Medina, is a nationally certified bereavement facilitator from the American Academy of Bereavement.

We should hold our loved one in high esteem. They provided us with many happy hours. Admire them for the effort they put forth in struggling with their confusion and pain.

Provide the same compassion for others as our loved one provided to us, the same compassion and support we offer each other as we grieve and progress.
Y...Youthfulness.
Almost everything that is great has been done by youth. Let the love and understanding we learned in our youth provide the determination to grow with our grief... let us make our loved one as proud of us as we are of them.

Grief Support Group meeting is held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at Leavitt's Mortuary.
