Hugh Cameron Sperry Jr, 64, passed away at home on October 30, 2018, after battling renal cancer. He was born in Ogden, on February 20, 1954, the fifth of six children to Hugh Cameron Sperry and Irene Hampson.
He spent his childhood in Sunset roaming the fields and canals with his neighborhood buddies; friends he would be connected to his entire life. Hugh graduated from Clearfield High in 1972 and began a long career in the manufacturing industry working in the engineering department. In 2009 he landed his “dream job” working with his nephew, Sean Rivera at Schneiter’s Bluff Golf Course in West Point as a green’s mower and mechanic. Hugh could fix anything with a motor. That year he also married the love of his life, Brenda Jorgenson. His two passions in life were golf and skiing which he enjoyed with his wife and many, many friends.
Hugh leaves behind his wife, Brenda, mother in law, Joyce Keith, stepson Conway (Christy) Coleman, brother Michael (Tona), sisters Christine (Christopher Rivera), Marsha Pledger and Lisa (Steve) Thomas. His family includes many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathleen and his only son, Nolan.
“I will see you on the other side, my love”
The family would like to thank CNS Hospice for their loving care of Hugh during his last weeks.
There will be a gathering for family and friends on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Alpine Christian Church located at 5050 S 1275 W, Riverdale, UT.
