Jose “Joe” Campos Jr. passed away on July 25, 2018, at the age of 79. He was born November 22, 1938, in Crystal City, Texas to Jose Campos Sr. and Agustina Jimenez. He grew up grew up in Texas with his sister, Elida; brother, Jesse; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, that he loved very much. In his 20’s dad moved and made Utah his home.
He worked 35 years for Del Monte, 10 years for Fred Meyer and 10 years for Harmons.
Dad enjoyed playing softball, fishing, hunting, and dancing. More than anything dad loved spending time with his family. He did all he could to make sure his kids were happy and helped them whenever he could. Dad wanted his kids to know that he was not perfect and had made hard choices in life, but he loves his kids. He will always watch over them until he sees them again.
He is survived by his kids, Dion Campos, Paul Campos, Elaine Geissler, Troy Campos, Justin Campos, Karen Andrushko, and Cristy Durgan; and many grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Campos Sr.; mother, Agustina Jimenez Campos; sister, Elida Campos Romero; and brother, Hector Campos.
Services will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 2:00 pm. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 1:00 to 1:45 pm, prior to services.
Interment at Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West, Roy, UT 84067.
