Our hearts are broken. Robert Ernest Miner passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019. Bob was born on December 30th 1944 to Lowell L. and Ethel Michaels Miner in Ogden Utah.
Robert attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ben Lomond High School where he enjoyed three years of playing football. He attended Weber State College, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Accounting.
He worked for Ore Ida Potatoes, Rockwell International, and retired from Weber State University.
He married Linda Zondervan on December 27th, 1969, in Ogden Utah.
Bob lived life to the fullest. He loved working on cars and racing them. Bob enjoyed motorcycles, jet skis, boating, snow skiing, snowmobiles and always wanted family and friends around. In his later years he looked forward to spending time in his garage shop. Bob was always willing to lend help to anyone that needed it.
Robert is survived by his wife Linda and his son Michael W. Miner, who he dearly loved. Along with his brother in law William Zondervan (Dorthy), Deanne Pluim (Herm), and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael L. Miner.
Funeral services will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street in Ogden, on Saturday, June 8th at 2:00 pm. Viewings will be held Friday, June 7th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm.
Interment will be at Ben Lomond Cemetery.
