Robin Gilbert, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on July 14, 2019 in her home, after a long battle with COPD. She was born December 9, 1964 to Raymond and Mary Tripp in Charleston, WV. She married Steven Gilbert in Roy, UT on May 4, 1990.
Robin loved her husband, kids, grandkids, and pets with all her heart and made sure they knew it every day. She enjoyed camping and being outdoors with her loved ones. Robin enjoyed listening to music-especially Journey, Reba, and Barry Manilow.
Robin and her husband Steve raised three kids together, Mary, Ray, and Dana; and have five grandkids, Shilo, Sebastian, Shemar, Elyana, and McKenna. They were best friends and partners in life, who spent over 30 years together.
In sickness and in health took on a new meaning toward the end of Robin’s life as Steve cared for her constantly making sure she had everything she needed.
She was an animal lover and would save them all if she could. To her family and grandkids, she was simply “Nana” and spent her time spoiling her grandkids with popsicles and snacks. Nana’s heart was so full having her five grandkids and her greatest sadness was that she would miss their birthdays, Christmas’s and time. She often rode her motorized wheelchair to pick up her granddaughter from school. Many nights were spent with grandkids having Nana sleepovers and eating popcorn.
As her kids we had so many adventures with her, it would take all day to list. We will miss her phone calls, hugs, and advice. If only we had more time, there is a hole in our hearts. Mom believed in angels and collected angel figurines and pictures. We will try to find peace in knowing that she has gone to watch over us.
“Send her, send her my love. Roses never fade memories remain. Send her, send her my love.” -Journey “Send Her My Love”
