Thomas Cook passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Friday, May 3, 2019. Tom was born August 21, 1930, to Percy and Lily Cook, in Ogden Utah. He graduated from Ogden High, attended Weber College and the University of Utah.

Tom served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning he took employment with Weber Basin Water District and then Union Pacific Railroad from 1953-1993. Tom was an extremely hard worker providing for his family. He enjoyed the nicer things in life and was always sharply dressed.

Tom enjoyed working in his orchard and gardening. He loved traveling to the East Shore to surf fish with his brother- in- law Dick. As well as his annual trips to Jackson Hole, cruising to Alaska, visiting Arizona, and making weekly trips to Kneaders to visit with his Railroad buddies.

Tom always made sure his family was happy and well taken care of. He loved supporting his son Kyle (Kelly) by attending their chariot races at the Weber County Fair Grounds.

Tom was married to Diane Friese, and from that union came his three boys (Tracy, Kyle, and Gavin), whom were his pride and joy. Later he went onto marry the love of his life Kay Fischer and gained two stepchildren. Tom and Kay were happily married for 29 years.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother Wayne.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Kay; sons, Tracy (Wendy), Kyle (Kelly), and Gavin (Monica); stepchildren, Debbie (Dave East-deceased) and Scott Friese; sister-in-law, Dorothy; nephew, Geoffrey; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sweet dog, Daisy.

Celebration of life will be held in Leavitt’s Waterfall Atrium, located at 836 36th Street, Ogden Utah 84403, on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 6-8 pm.

Private burial services will be held by the family.
