Carma Smith June 14, 1941 - April 24, 2015 Carma Smith, 73, passed away April 24, 2015. Carma died at Wasatch Care Center in Ogden, Utah after a long and courageous battle with cerebral palsy. She was born June 14, 1941 in Mayfield, Utah, the daughter of Dale Faatz and Ireda Anderson Faatz. She grew up in Mayfield and graduated from Gunnison High School. She married the love of her life, Rell Richard Smith on May 5, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Carma met Rell while they were both working at the Deseret Industries. Together, they were able to overcome many of their handicaps and live a full and happy life together. Carma is survived by one son, Travis (Jenny) Smith; two sisters: Chelice (Bill) Truxal, and Marylou DeGooyer; two brothers: Glade (Zara) Faatz, and Jiff (Jill) Faatz; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Carma is preceded in death by her husband and parents; brother in law, Jack DeGooyer; brother, Steven Faatz. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
