Chad Phillip Reese, 50, passed away July 21, 2017, after complications due to his acute myeloid leukemia. Chads family and friends were fortunate to be with him at his bedside. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on May 17, 1967, to Michael Lee Reese (passed May 5, 2016) and Renee Loftus Reese Harrah. Renee later married Brian Harrah who was also a father to Chad. He grew up in Roy, Utah where he made life-long memories and friends. He married Anjie Cook Reese (later divorced) who had two sons, Tyler and Josh Walton, who Chad loved and treated like his own. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Tanis Jean Marie Reese. His daughter was his pride and joy and loved every moment he spent with her. Chad was a kind, soft spoken man who was always looking out for others and never left you without a smile on your face. Chads favorite way to make you smile was saying "Merry Christmas" in the middle of July. He had a dry sense of humor and loved teasing his nieces and nephews, generally to the point of tears. He worked at Schindlers Roofing for 10 years and loved what he did. He loved football and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved the outdoors: fishing, backpacking, shooting, and hunting. You could always find him going on random adventures, never knowing what he might find and bring back with him. He was loved by so many and will forever be missed. Merry Christmas Chadly Badly!! He is survived by his parents, Renee and Brian Harrah - Roy; sister Kari (Rich) Branz - Roy; sister Donnette (Todd) Kirk - Ogden; sister Tonya (Robert) Pattschull - Liberty; daughter Tanis Reese - Clearfield; two stepsons Tyler and Josh Walton-Clearfield; Grandparent Lillie Lackey; four nephews, (three great nephews); five nieces, (one great niece); aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is proceeded in death by his father Michael Reese; his one and only brother Timothy Reese; Grandparents Donald Lackey, Lavon Loftus, and Wesley Loftus. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Leavitts Mortuary located at 836 36th St, Ogden, UT 84403.
