A Simple Beautiful Life On Saturday, June 6,2015 Doug Stewart loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and dear friend suddenly passed away. Doug was born on October 6, 1957 in Ogden, Utah, the loving son of Douglas and Marilyn Stewart. Doug attended Bonneville High School and Weber State University where he earned a degree in Business Management and Computer Science. Throughout his career at Amalgamated Sugar Company or as an entrepreneur, Dougs professional experience and need to help people landed him a home at Community Nursing Services. He married Jeannine Stark in Ogden, Utah in 1976. He later married Sheryl Bond August 12, 1989 and they were sealed for time and eternity. The theme of Dougs life was service. He was committed to giving and providing for others. Doug was passionate about his faith and served various stake and ward callings, including a member of the Bishopric. He was especially fond of planning and participating in Trek which lit his faith. An avid nature lover, Doug spent much of his time enjoying skiing, sailing, biking, hiking and camping. Many of these activities he loved to share with his family including his five sisters, 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren and the family he picked up along the way. His favorite activity was running. He ran daily and successfully completed many races and marathons. His greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Sheryl; children: Justin (Keri) Fry, Kellie (Mike) Davies, Commerce, MI, Brandon (Cory) San Francisco, CA, Tyson (Jaclynn) Fry, and Tyler (Debbie); also his dear mother, Marilyn; and spirited father-in-law Vern. A Celebration of his Life will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 13, 2015with a viewing from 10:00 - 10:45 am at the Mount Lewis Stake Center, 1150 North Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah. Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Ogden Regional Medical Center.
