Dudley M. Lewis, beloved husband, father and grandfather returned home to our Father in Heaven at the age of 83, after an extended bout with diabetes on Monday, November 23, 2015. Dudley was born December 14, 1931 in Jacksonville, Fl to James Dudley Lewis and Lorna F. Ashpaugh. He joined the Air Force at a very young age and retired after twenty years of faithful service as a Loadmaster of OLD SHAKEY, a C-124 A/C and safety expert. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mona Nye Lewis. They were married on November 4, 1961 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Dudley became a Dad to five extra children: Beverly (Beryl) Young, Stan (Evelyn) Taylor, Archie (Christel) Smith, Karen (Scotte) Call and Linden (Bob) Dare, who admired him greatly for his integrity and sought his advice through the years. Dudley became the Patriarch of 105 children; 74 called him Grandpa, 26 called him Grandpa Great of which seven of them became the fifth generation; daughter, Lisa Lewis; brother, George; sisters, Nancy, Lorna Sue and Sara Lou. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 12:45 to 1:45 pm. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
